Goalie: Mason McElroy Mason McElroy 5'10" | Goalie Benilde-St. Margaret's | 2024 State MN
Max Plante | Hermantown
Max Plante really excelled this year, when his brother Zam went out for a couple of months with an injury. Max finished his sophomore season with the Hawks at 72 total points. Max is a great playmaker, as out of those 72 points.. 54 of those were assists. Max will likely join his brother at UMD when he is allowed to commit this summer. Great player and definitely proved he is as good as his brother this season.
Teddy Townsend Teddy Townsend 5'10" | Forward Eden Prairie | 2024 State MN | Maple Grove
Teddy Townsend Teddy Townsend 5'10" | Forward Eden Prairie | 2024 State MN flourished in his sophomore season for the runner-up Crimson. 16 goals and 24 assists for 40 points really played a huge role in the Crimson’s run. He had a very solid preseason before this season, with 23 points in the high school elite league. Now there are some question marks about his future, as he is in the USHL currently with the Gamblers, and also on the USDP national U-18 team. I expect him to be back, but some players about to be juniors stay in juniors if they are good enough. Teddy Townsend Teddy Townsend 5'10" | Forward Eden Prairie | 2024 State MN is a rare talent, and MN HS fans will be lucky to see him for his junior year. Think it is about a 80 percent chance that he is back.
Drew Stewart Drew Stewart 5'7" | Forward Benilde-St. Margaret's | 2024 State MN | Benilde- St. Margaret’s
Benilde St. Margaret product Drew Stewart Drew Stewart 5'7" | Forward Benilde-St. Margaret's | 2024 State MN is a top sophomore in the state. He had 15 goals and 23 assists for 38 points in 25 games this season. Drew also racked up 26 total points in just 17 games at the high school elite league this past offseason. Drew will have a huge role on this BSM team that is still very young next year. Watch out for him to finish near the top in points next season.
Will Skahan Will Skahan 6'3" | Defense St. Thomas Academy | 2024 State MN | St. Thomas Academy
Will Skahan Will Skahan 6'3" | Defense St. Thomas Academy | 2024 State MN started his youth career over at Shattuck St. Mary’s.. which is for sure a prestigious team to play on. Then he is currently with St. Thomas Academy for high school where he has 11 goals and 11 assists for 22 points. He is a two-way defender and can produce from the point at any time in any game. Skahan is still very young and has a high ceiling. Watch out for him to be one of the most talented defensemen in the state over this next year.
Eddie Revenig Eddie Revenig 5'10" | Defense Edina | 2024 State MN | Warroad
Eddie Revenig Eddie Revenig 5'10" | Defense Edina | 2024 State MN was one of the few sophomores this season that played in the high school elite league. He finished with a pretty good 2 goals and 6 assists in that. What was really eye-opening.. were his stats during the season this year. He had 24 total points with 5 goals and 19 assists for 24 total points. For the Warriors getting a young defender to be that impactful to their season was a blessing. Lund is a name that needs to be talked about more.
Mason McElroy Mason McElroy 5'10" | Goalie Benilde-St. Margaret's | 2024 State MN | Benilde St. Margaret’s
McElroy easily makes the first team for the goalie spot. He even had a better season than a lot of juniors and senior goalies. He is so young and had a GAA of 1.77 and a SV PCT of .926. He finished with a very solid 17-5-0 record this season and only allowed 39 goals total. McElroy is a complete brick wall and leads all sophomore goalies after their first seasons.
