We welcome you to the first annual prep hockey all senior team second team! These are the next players at their positions (forward/defenseman/goalie). We already covered the first team, and now we move into the second team. This team still has some very solid players and these guys need to be recognized.
Goalie: Marlo Belak
| Moorhead- Not too many people knew how good is before this season. In his two seasons before this season (sophomore and junior) he combined for only 20 total points. This year, in his senior season; Lindberg impressed with 69 total points. In the 31 games played, Lindberg had 23 goals and 46 assists. Lindberg is a top-tier playmaker, and he really showed that.. helping his Spuds reach the state tourney. Lindberg is currently playing in the prestigious USHL junior league, with the Waterloo Blackhawks.
| Grand Rapids- Senior year explosion is a common theme with these players on this list. DelGreco most definitely fits that list, as he goes from 25 points in his junior year to 68 points in his senior year. DelGreco played in the high school elite league two times in his high school career. DelGreco, like Lindberg, is a very good playmaker and thrives off feeding his teammates with some very precise passes. DelGreco is currently in the NAHL with the Wichita Falls Warriors.
| Gentry Academy- Gentry Academy got moved up to AA after they dominated A the last couple of years including a state title last year. The move up a level and difficulty didn’t phase Hall at all, as he had a stellar year. He is a very balanced scorer, as he tucked 25 goals and dished out 30 assists this season for a total of 55 total points. Hall had a very productive career with Gentry Academy, as he finishes his high school career of 186 points. Hall is currently with the Minnesota Wilderness of the NAHL.
| Benilde St. Margaret’s- Sarsland was one of the most hyped of players coming into the season.. and he most definitely lived up to it. 12 goals and 21 assists for 31 points is very solid for a defender. Sarsland recently de-committed from Colorado College, but he is for sure a D1 caliber player. Sarsland hopes to find his way back to a D1 squad, as he is in the NAHL with the Fairbanks Ice Dogs. Sarsland is a very good two-way defender as he can score and is a great defender as well.
| Blaine- NHL prospect had a crazy productive senior season for the Bengals. Loftus finished with 11 goals and 29 assists for 40 total points in his senior season. Finn is ranked as the #220th North American skater for the upcoming draft, so there is a shot he is drafted. Either way, he should have a great future, he is one of the best scoring defensemen in the state. Loftus is currently with the New Jersey Rockets in the NCDC and also will play for the Sioux City Musketeers of the USHL.
| CDH- followed his very good junior year, with an even better senior year. With a GAA of 1.82, a save percentage of .930, and a record of 23-5-0, in our eyes, he is the true runner-up for the Brimsek award. Belak is a great second-team goalie, as on a normal year where we don’t have a Dardis.. he would be the first team goalie. Great to see him grow during his career and hope he finds a future in juniors and or college.
