Joe Belisle Joe Belisle 5'11" | Defense White Bear Lake | 2023 State MN | Goalie | Edina | Prep Hockey #88 ’23’s
Joe Belisle Joe Belisle 5'11" | Defense White Bear Lake | 2023 State MN is having another solid season between the pipes for Edina. The 6’6’’ Junior netminder has posted a record of 10-5, GAA of 2.20, and a Save % of .904 so far this season. Clarkowski’s most impressive performance came vs Lakeville South at Braemar Arena, where he stopped 38 of 39 shots in the Hornets 2-1 victory. Robert has been fairly consistent so far and he will continue to be valuable for Edina going into the tough Section 6AA Section Playoffs.
John Ross John Ross 5'9" | Forward Spring Lake Park | 2023 State MN | Defense | Hermantown | Prep Hockey #90 ’23’s
John Ross John Ross 5'9" | Forward Spring Lake Park | 2023 State MN is another quality player in that potent Class of 2023 at Hermantown. Peterson has notched 5 goals and 6 assists so far this season and plays on a Hawks team that is arguably the best in the State of Minnesota. George’s best performances came vs Rosemount, Duluth Denfeld, and Eden Prairie, tallying 2 points in each of those games. Peterson is a dark horse player to watch through the rest of this season and going into his senior campaign.
Will Brown | Forward | Delano | Prep Hockey #95 ’23’s
Will Brown is the leading point scorer on Delano with 20 points. The Tigers are having a decent season so far and have been locked in the Top 10 in the Class A Rankings every week. Brown continues to drive Delano’s success, tallying at least a point in nearly every game. His best performance came vs East Grand Forks, where he netted the Hat Trick in his team’s 4-2 victory.
Wyatt Mattfield Wyatt Mattfield 6'0" | Forward Bemidji | 2023 State MN | Forward | Bemidji | Prep Hockey #109 ’23’s
Wyatt Mattfield Wyatt Mattfield 6'0" | Forward Bemidji | 2023 State MN is a special player on the Bemidji Lumberjacks. Mattfield is by far the leading point scorer on his team with 23 (13 Goals, 10 Assists). I would consider Bemidji to be an average high school hockey team and they could definetly be a pesky team in the Section 8AA playoffs. If Bemidji does happen to make a playoff push, look for Mattfield to lead that charge. In our next updated rankings for the Class of 2023, I would not be surprised to see Wyatt move up significantly
Tanner George Tanner George Forward Roseau | 2023 State MN | Forward | Duluth Denfeld | Prep Hockey #123 ’23’s
Tanner George Tanner George Forward Roseau | 2023 State MN continues to be a fixture in the Hunters lineup in his Junior campaign. Postal may not put up numbers like his teammates in the McClure Brothers, Davidson, and Larson, but he still has a respectable 20 points on the season. Postal’s best performance came vs Rock Ridge, where he scored 3 goals and also added an assist. Duluth Denfeld won the contest 6-2 and it was a huge victory when it comes to section seedings. After this season, Denfeld loses a good amount of their players due to graduation, and the underclassmen will look up to Kaden as he will play a vital leadership role.
